In order to maximise the benefit of the Dr Cook Bitless bridle it is essential that you measure your horse or pony correctly. Please click on guidance for assistance.

Beta bridles are made of a synthetic leather-like material, similar to soft rubber it isn’t hard or stiff. These bridles are available in black, brown and chestnut.   The Draft size is available in Black Only.

Our leather bridles are made in England of the finest English Bridle Leather. Matching reins are available in plain, rubber gripped, or laced.

This version is made from fine English leather and is available in Black, Havana brown and Newmarket.  There is soft leather padding under the browband and noseband and they are slightly wider than the standard leather bridle, which is softer for those horses with extremely sensitive skin.

This range of bitless bridles is made of durable nylon and can be easily kept clean using a stiff brush and warm soapy water or can even be cleaned in the washing machine using the cool cycle.

Black and brown are standard colours, it is also possible to place a special order for our exciting new colours.

Reins are available in colours to match the Bitless Bridles. The nylon comes with rubber grips. The leather and beta have plain or rubber grip options.

Measure 1 ½” to 2” up from the corner of the horses mouth. From that point, measure the circumference of the horse’s nose. From that same point (1 ½–2” up from the corner of the horses mouth). Run your tape measure up the side of the face, around the poll (behind the ears) to the same point on the other side of the face.

If you find it too cumbersome to run your tape all the way around the head, measure to the very top of the poll (to the point right between the ears) and double that measurement)

Use these two measurements to determine what size headstall your horse needs.
